Patrick McAndrew is Associate Director of Learning and Teaching in The Open University's Institute of Educational Technology. His recent work has focussed on the role of Open Educational Resources (OER), first leading the research and evaluation of OpenLearn, The OU's initiative to provide and support OER, and then as Director of the Open Learning network (OLnet). Olnet's aim is to research, identify and disseminate evidence about the use of OER in different contexts.
